Just a little sisterly love

since taking this picture she has actually acquired ANOTHER scratch

Molly has become quite the combination pinch/scratcher lately.  She is taking out her vengeance on her sister's face.  Sweet Isabelle does not retaliate.  She screams and cries and acts like it's the end of the world, but she doesn't pinch or hit or scratch back.  I would if I were her.  Pretty sure that as a mom I should not encourage her to pinch her sister back.  However, I wonder if that wouldn't put a quick end to Molly's reign of terror.

At the current moment I have no idea how to stop Molly.  I have literally tried it all.  Standing in the corner, going to her room, and other things which I think if I posted them on the internet could result in a visit from child services.  KIDDING.  I think.  I am not sure if spanking is still legal in OK or not.  Different topic for a different day.

Anywho....all of the pinching and scratching and hitting and screaming and yelling and punishing and crying has left me a little...tired.  So, if you have a brilliant idea for how to stop the madness let me know.  My mom already gave me one suggestion.  I am going to try it today and see what happens.  After all, not sure how it could get any worse.

Happy Friday!

  1. sweetheart, your pa just don't know. i don't want molly or belle hurt in any way but this can not continue. best person i know to ask for good sound and Godly advice is your sister. i know that you are a wonderful and capable mom and will find the right remedy before belle is dis-figured for life. maybe a summer with poppy and gigi would keep her safe for a while. fishing, worlds and oceans of fun, motorcycle riding etc... of course that goes for all my grandchildren. the more of them the better for me. i will pray that our Heavenly Father will direct you in this situation. i know you hear His voice. love, pa

  2. Sometimes it helps when we give them something they can pinch, scratch, or bite--along with a talk about feelings that are very Big. I know a family that had some success with a washcloth with a little one who was biting.
