Wednesday

Well, today is Wednesday and while I haven't been up-chuck free the past few days, it has definitely slowed down.  Yesterday I only threw up when I was driving!  The girls are having a hard time getting back into some sort of routine that doesn't consist of me in the bathroom all day and them getting to watch unlimited amounts of television.  I too, am having a hard time being productive.  I mean, I know that I should be getting things done, but I am not super motivated to make it happen.

So today is a new day....kind of.  I am hoping to get some housework done, perhaps get some MK business done, and spend some good time with the girls.

On an unrelated note, I have had something funny to share about Isabelle for a while, and just never got around to posting.  Since I am feeling a little better I figured why not?

Isabelle's newest addition to her required stuffed animal/toy collection that must be taken to bed each night is an emesis basin.  That's right, a vomit container.  It all started back when she was sick and we had been to the doctor.  While we were there the doctor had to do a throat swab and when she did she gave me the basin in case Belle got sick while she was doing the swab.  Well, she didn't get sick, but she also didn't want to let go of the "bucket" as she calls it.  She was adamant that we take it home and since then has been playing with it and sleeping with it all the time.  She puts her jewelery in it, cuddles up with it at night, and should it fall behind the bed in the middle of the night, makes J get up and get it and put it back in bed with her.  It is pretty weird/funny.  My daughter is a very unique child.  Of all the things she wants to take to bed with her, this is the most interesting.  Here is a pic of her with her bucket.

Today, it was a container for her crayons.  I have tried hiding it and she never forgets to ask about her bucket.  I can't wait to see what gets added to the bedtime stash next!

Hope to be back tomorrow for Embrace!

To Know or not to Know

With both of my first two pregnancies the decision to not find out the sex of the baby was easy.  Jason didn't want to know and I was cool with being surprised.  Honestly though, I said from the beginning with both that they were girls and I was right both times.  And while it is still a long while off before I could even find out, I can't make up my mind whether or not I want to be surprised again or to find out if it is a boy.  I am pretty convinced that it is a boy.  This pregnancy has been totally different and I would be shocked to find out I was having another girl.  There are pros and cons on each side and Jason is cool with whatever.  Before you say something like, "I could never wait, I am such a planner," you should read a little more about me.  I am an ultra planner.....totally Type A personality.  BUT.....there is something pretty wonderful about hearing, "It's a girl/boy," right at the moment that precious baby arrives.  So I am still stuck.  Still undecided.  I have two months to decide and hopefully by then I have made up my mind.

It's Friday

It's Friday and I don't have a Friday Five. I don't even have a Friday Two. Currently, my house, my life, my business, my children are in shambles. I have a new prescription from the doc that I was hopeful about, but after taking it last night and pretty much instantly being asleep, I realized I can't take it during the day. Bummer. So I am relying on sea band bracelets, ginger, b6, ginger ale, emetrol and saltines to get me through the day. So far, so good. Only four more weeks of the first trimester and (fingers crossed) this will be done with. So, sadly, the blog might continue to be neglected along with everything else! Thankfully I know that at the end of this journey a beautiful, brand new, teeny-tiny, adorable baby awaits me!!!  Have a very happy Friday.  Hope to be blogging again soon!

Did Ya Miss Me?

Yes, I realize that I said I was back on the blogging bandwagon and yes, I realize that I then took a week long break, but I had a good excuse.

I was on vacation.

Wonderful.  Glorious.  Vacation.  The children did not go with us.  We stayed at a great hotel.  We saw Ray Lamontagne in concert.  We ate until we were sick (okay, that was just me....and it wasn't because I ate too much, but just because I seem to do that all the time now).  We slept until we woke up (which was only 8 am surprisingly), and we took naps.  It was amazing.  Ray was amazing.  Here are some pics from our trip.

So this time I mean it, I am back.  I will be blogging more this week.  I will try not to talk too much about my love for Ray.  If you are scratching your head wondering who in the heck this Ray guy is...you must check him out.  He. Is. Amazing.  And, for the record, better in concert.  When does that ever happen?

Weekend Fun

First, I want to say that I am sorry for the lack of blog posts lately.  Truth be told, most days I am either using my free time to throw up or to sleep.  This time around I am having morning sickness, or rather, all day sickness and I am more tired than I remember being with either Isabelle or Molly.  Maybe that means this is a boy!  So, as you probably already noticed, blogging has been a little further down on my priority list.  I am hopeful that will improve after the first trimester.

Now, back to our weekend fun!

On Saturday, Isabelle and I went out to Thunderbird Farm and picked blueberries with my wonderful sister and her kiddos.  We had a great time and came home with lots of yummy blueberries!

Isabelle when we first arrived.  They gave her a little blue bucket for her to put her berries in.

Isabelle with cousin Cait.  I think Belle ate more than she picked!

Since it was just Isabelle and I, I wanted to get a pic of the two of us, but she would have no part of it.  Next time I will remember to do it at the beginning and not right when we are leaving!

Sunday, Jason and I took both girls to the Jenks splash pad.  Molly was a little hesitant, but eventually got into it.  Isabelle on the other hand was running around from the time we got there until we bribed her to leave with the promise of ice cream.

It has been so hot here so it was nice to find a couple of things we could do without burning up!

I hope you had a great weekend, and hope you have a great week.  And, if you have any great suggestions for how to ease morning sickness, shout 'em out.  So far crackers aren't doing it!

Embracing Ten Years

Today I am celebrating ten years of wedded bliss with the greatest husband a girl could ask for.  Seriously, he is pretty amazing.  I could list all of the ways he is wonderful, but I would hate to look like I am bragging.

It is days like today I wish I had a scanner, so I could post some pics of our early days together.  We had some rockin' hair.  By we, I mean Jason.  Instead, you will get pictures of us since we entered the digital world.

Throughout our marriage there have been ups and downs.  We have lost four grandparents, moved six times, had two children and have one on the way, changed jobs, changed churches, been broke, had money, been broke again, had friendships change, gained weight, lost weight, gained weight, lost weight, fought, made up, prayed together, laughed together, cried together and been exhausted together.  Through all of it, there is no one else I would have wanted by my side other than Jason.

Jason has been my best friend from the moment I met him.  We got along instantly and have been getting along pretty great since then.  The past ten years of marriage and the past 13 years of knowing him have been the greatest of my life.

Happy Anniversary, J.  I love you!

Friday Five

Today.....five totally random things/pictures.

1.  This is the face Molly makes when she is ready for another bite.  Every. Time.  It is pretty funny to me.

2.  Picture of Belle in her pool.  First one of many this summer, I am sure.

3.  I don't know exactly why I feel this way, but I feel this picture accurately sums up what most of my days are like.

4.  I think my Molly girl might have the bluest eyes ever.

5.   Who would've ever thought this kid would be potty trained?  She is though.  And she is doing great.  Only one overnight accident and even that was so minor it didn't even get the sheets wet.  During the day she goes like 100 times.  That of course is our new problem.  Not going every three minutes.

Happy Friday and have a great weekend!

ps. do you read my blog?  do you like it?  become a follower.  it makes me feel special and happy.

Embrace the Camera

This past weekend my sister and I held our first ever Sister Day.  It was wonderful.   A whole day of sister time.  What could be better than kid-free sister time?  We ate, we shopped, we ate some more.  We also did a whole lot of talking.  Pretty sure that even after multiple hours of talking that when sister day was over we still had several topics that had not been covered.

My sister is totally amazing.  I am so lucky to have her as my sister and best friend.  My relationship with her is the kind of relationship I hope Isabelle and Molly will have.  I realize that growing up they will argue and fight and not always be the closest of friends, but when they are older I hope they are besties.

During our shopping trip we stopped in Macy's and decided to try on what might have been the two ugliest shirts in the entire store just for fun.  What made it more fun was coming out of the dressing room and having a complete stranger take our picture.  What makes that even more fun is posting said picture on the internet for embrace the camera day!

We look sooooo good.  Actually, I don't know that anyone, ever, could look good in those shirts.  (My apologies if you are reading this and own that shirt.  That always happens to me.)

Do you embrace?  You should.  Check out Emily's site here.
