Embracing Lawson

I had a different picture I was going to post today, but then last night happened.

Last night Lawson took a bit of a fall....off his changing table.  I thought he was fine, he seemed fine.  We went to church, came home, and he didn't seem as fine.  Not eating super well, pretty lethargic, not responding to me, so we called the doctor.  She advised going to the ER and well, I didn't want to go.  I am embarrassed to tell you I didn't want to go because I worried about how to pay for yet another deductible this year.  And then Lawson threw up....like a lot.  I don't think I have ever moved faster.  We were in the car and on the way to the ER in record time.  He threw up on the way there and was super groggy when we arrived.

Long story short, he had a CT scan and everything is normal.  He is still not 100% as I am pretty sure he did suffer a concussion.  Turns out you can't tell if someone has had a concussion with a CT, only if they have bleeding or fractures.

Anywho, I will tell you that it is strictly because of Jesus that I didn't freak out completely.  And because of Jesus that Lawson is okay.  Thank you to those that prayed.

I love this little man.

Do you embrace?  You should.  Check out Emily here.

  3. Sorry, had to go through that with my son last year. It was horrible and he was older! Can't imagine having to go through it with a baby. Glad he is ok!
