This week

This week......

....I am getting ready for Jason's dad and step-mom to visit.  They will get here on Thursday so you would think I have plenty of time, right?  Not so much.  And they aren't even staying at our house.  Which makes me wonder, how is it I have so much to do?

(random pic that has nothing to do with this post) family will be eating economically.  After posing the question, "How much does the average family of four spend on groceries per week?" on facebook I have realized we need to find a way to cut back.  The cost of EVERYTHING is going up (in case you missed it!) and we need to watch our spending.  Leftovers and sandwiches are in our future.  Don't judge.

(another totally random pic)

....I may be switching Molly to soy milk.  I can't tell you how frustrating her milk ordeal has been.  The girl just can't tolerate whole milk.  We have tried gradually adding it in to formula, but every time we give her straight milk, the girl has some serious issues.  So....I am pretty sure that the Dr. is going to say soy.  Not sure how I feel about this.  Any suggestions would be appreciated!

(for some reason this pic makes me think of a wild a raccoon being caught getting in the trash or something....I know, I'm weird.)

....Molly's pictures should be ready.  HOLLA!  I have been waiting with much anticipation to see them.  Our photographer, C.C. Miller is phenomenal.

(pic from our last session where both girls cried the ENTIRE time)

.....I hope to lose two more pounds.  That's right, I am on a diet.  Perhaps putting my weight loss goals out for all the world to see will help to motivate me.  So, before June 15th, I hope to lose 15 pounds.  Totally do-able.  I would hate to look bad when I see Ray. Weight loss so far, two pounds.  Cutting out my every night ice cream ritual should help.

(scrub run 2008)

....I will be participating in OSU's 5K Scrub Run for the fourth time.  I missed last year because I was in the hospital with Molly, but I'm back this year.  Whether or not I finish quickly (which I won't) doesn't matter.  What does matter is that I am doing it with my sister, brother in law, nieces and nephew, my hubs and my friend, Stephanie and that the race benefits Lifeshare Transplant Donor Services of Oklahoma.

I hope you and your family have a great week also!

  1. DON'T Do SOY!! It is extremely mucus producing. I'm not sure what her issues are exactly but Almond milk is actually quite good. We get the vanilla flavored one, but thats just us. whole foods has it and so does reasors.

  2. Almond milk is great! There are unsweetened ones that would be good for a little one, but the dark chocolate one tastes delicious!

I follow the kind life for more detailed info. Here's a link on soy milk verses rice and almond milk. Hope she gets better!

  3. Tracy-Since Jeff can't do dairy, he drinks almond and coconut milk. Alot of people actually have issues digesting soy-says his dietician/his experience :) Almond milk comes unsweetened but has a vanilla flavor added naturally. It's actually cheaper than the soy/regular milk I think

  4. But if she needs calories, I would make a smoothie, with the milk, banana, frozen fruit and add a little bit of greek yogurt.. :)

  5. Those pictures are too darn cute! Enjoy your visit!
