Thankful to be a Mom

Being a mom has led me to do/say things I never in a million, billion, trillion years thought I would. 

For example, I never thought I would say.....

"Isabelle, why do you have a toilet seat on your head?"

"Because I said so, that's why."  (After being asked why twenty or so times)

"Stop licking your sister's toes."

"Don't eat dirt."

I also never thought I would have to....

clean orange and red crayon marks off my WHITE chair.

wash sidewalk chalk off the house, and the door, and the grill.

change 10 poopy diapers in one day. 

spend so much time reading about topics like potty training, sleep training and discipline.

But, you know what.  It is all worth it.  I am so thankful to be a mom.  I am so thankful to have healthy, happy, fun children.  I am thankful that they are safe and well fed and surrounded by family.  I am thankful for what a gift they are despite all of the work they require.  And I wouldn't trade being a mom for anything.
